Your safety comes first, and we’re prepared for your visit!
We’re here to answer any questions you may have about our COVID-19 protocols. When you arrive for your appointment, call us at 608-838-3400 , and a member of our team will come out to retrieve your pet(s).
Due to the current restrictions of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have implemented some policy changes to protect the health of our staff, you, your pets, and the community as a whole:
As the need arises, we may be limiting the number of patients we see to mainly sick patients and pets with the most urgent prevention needs. If your pet is healthy, we may need to postpone your visit to a time in the near future when we can better accommodate a larger volume of patients. We will try to do our best to accommodate all of your needs, but please be patient with us!
Per the current CDC and the World Health Organization recommendations, to maximize social distancing and limit close contact between individuals, we are now offering curbside services. We will be receiving patients according to the protocol outlined below:
As you arrive at the hospital with your pet, please stay in your car and call us at 608.838.3400.
A member of our care team will come out to your vehicle and receive your pet. Please have your dog on a leash and your cat in a cat carrier – if you need to borrow one, let us know! We ask that you hand your pet off in the parking lot next to your car, rather than having a staff member reach inside your vehicle to take the pet.
We will gather all information necessary for the appointment, either during the phone call notifying us of your arrival or while picking up your pet in the parking lot.
Your pet will then be brought inside the clinic where the veterinarian will examine your pet and perform any indicated procedures, diagnostics, and treatments. During this time, you will receive a call from our health care team (most likely the doctor) when exam findings and other pertinent information are discussed. Permission for procedures not discussed ahead of time will also be obtained via telephone. Please be sure to have your phone available so we can reach you readily during that the time of your appointment.
If indicated, payment for the visit will be collected over the phone. We will then return your pet to you at your vehicle.
Dropping your pet off is another great alternative! If you are dropping your pet off, we will receive and discharge your pet in a similar manner. Dropping off minimizes your wait time and gives us more flexibility to fit you in sooner.
If you need medication or are picking up food, we encourage you to call us ahead of time to minimize your wait time.
Thank you for your patience during this time. We miss seeing you but need to do the best we can to keep our community safe. We will notify you of any changes to our policy as the need for changes arises. Stay safe and stay healthy.
